Welcome! Now...how does this work?

Welcome! And thank you for joining our online celebration of Michelle and Barak and their precious baby boy!

Michelle and Barak are so grateful for your shared joy and support during this exciting time. It won't be long before this sweet boy will be in arms, and we weren't going to allow the fact that they cannot travel far from Michelle's doctors to prevent them from feeling the love of their many friends and family looking for the opportunity to share in the excitement.

So how does an online baby shower work?

First, take some time to visit the various pages/entries on this blog. There's lots to do! Sign the guestbook with your best wishes for the new family in the post titled "The Guestbook." Check out their registry and do your shopping and shipping online in the post titled, "The Registry." Suggest a name for Baby Fite (nope, they haven't decided on a name yet!) and be entered into a drawing for a special, personal gift from Michelle and Barak in the post titled, "Suggest a Name & Enter the Drawing." Imagine you were celebrating in person and post the questions you would like to ask the new parents in the post titled, "Questions for the New Family." Participate in other shower games for prizes in the posts titled, "Guess Mommy's Girth!" and "Guess How Many." Consider this blog your space to enjoy some of the fun, and shower the Fites across the miles!

In the meantime, the Fites will be receiving your gifts and preparing for The Great Reveal on January 24th. On that day, Michelle and Barak will start by opening a "Party in a Box" from the shower hosts and be shown the blog for the first time. This will be their experience of the shower - seeing your guestbook entries, name ideas, submissions to the games, and questions. They will choose winners to receive gifts and prizes. Finally, they'll enjoy a personalized gourmet dessert sent straight to their door, and open gifts and take pictures to share with you here on the blog.

So now is your chance - over the next few weeks, browse the blog, send a gift, submit name ideas! And check back! We will be updating the blog, sharing news and information, and of course, sharing more about The Great Reveal come January 24th.
