  1. I know you're doing the cloth diaper route. (Insert happy face here ____)! Have you thought about co-sleeping and attachment parenting? Natural healing? Immunizations? Circumcision?

Funny you ask. We've thought about all of those......A LOT!!! : )
We are co-sleeping and practicing attachment parenting. : )
We're reading Dr. Sear's book on A.P. now! So far, no immunizations. We feel very strongly against circumcision for a number of reasons, including the trauma experienced by the little guy. Thanks for asking! Missed seeing you at Faire last summer. : )

  2. I would also love to hear your views on immunizations? And I was also wondering about your birth plan. As of right, now I was just gonna wing it.

We would not suggest winging it. In fact, we suggest getting a doula and reading the book 'Birthing from Within' by Pam England.....at least the chapter on Birth Plans. Another good book suggestion is Hypnobirthing: the Monghan Method (sp?). The best thing you can do for you and your baby is to be prepared. : ) Trust me [Michelle]. Can't wait to meet Charlotte, as well!!! We should chat more about immunizations.

We need to work on that! Our current clutter would not pass a toddler safety inspection. : ) Of course, he won't be mobile for awhile. I'm sure we'll go OVERBOARD when the time comes to child-proof the premises! : ) Good advice on seeing the area through the child's eyes!

He will be addressing us as "Sir" and "Ma'am" ONLY. Just kidding! We like "Mama" and any variation of "Papa" or "Daddy." : )

He likes his Raffi albums during the quiet hours of the day....otherwise, he is straight rocking to Donovan, Tool, or the New World Renaissance Band. ; )

We plan on following the 'unschooling' philosophy, letting him lead the way.

We will move back to Michigan when you move to Hawaii--that way we can continue our long distance relationship. ; )

  6. I want to hear your birth story from beginning to birth! :)

And what did you individually think & feel the very moment your eyes met Baby Fite?

What are your plans for Hawaii now?

Not a question, but a request - must have some video please! Miss you all so much!

Michelle: It felt like time slowed down and everything went quiet. When I would look at him, it just felt like it was him and me in that moment. It kind of felt like being reunited with an old cherished friend. It almost felt like I had already known him before--but at the same time, amazement. I was so in love with him already.

Barak: It was all like, "whoa." ; )

But seriously, we are just SO glad that everyone made it through ok. It was such an intense lead-up to the birth that it was difficult to relax enough to emotionally explore the incredible weight of the occasion. Seeing him for the first time launched us right into the land of positive vibes-- momentous, positive experience!

We have big plans for Hawaii! : ) Hopefully acting on them in the next few months...

Michelle: I sleep SO little right now. Waking every one or two hours to either nurse, change a diaper, or soothe him, so I haven't really been dreaming--that I can tell. But my dream came true in my waking life! ; )

  8. I know you've been busy sending replies and eating cake (LOL), but what was the answer to your Girth Game, have you done the name drawing, and we're wondering if our gift arrived in good condition and that it was the right thing? Seriously, let's get this party started! Ha! Ha! JK. But we are quite curious. More photos & video please. Or maybe tomorrow when/if you're rested we can FaceTime? (We don't have Skype) XO XO xo
